Full Description

Alien Betta — Betta splendens (wild-type hybrid)

Description

The Alien Betta is one of the most unique and eye-catching bettas available. Unlike traditional fancy bettas, these are bred from wild-type Betta species hybrids, giving them a more natural, streamlined body and a completely different look.

They are known for their iridescent, metallic coloration, often in shades of:

  • Green
  • Blue
  • Turquoise

Many display a “mask” pattern across the face and a striped or armored appearance along the body, giving them a truly “alien” look—hence the name. Their fins are usually shorter and more refined, similar to wild bettas, making them stronger swimmers.
