Description

The Dwarf Cichlid Acara (Laetacara thayeri) is a peaceful and beautifully subtle South American cichlid known for its calm behavior and soft coloration. Its body displays gentle tones of silver, olive, and blue, often highlighted by delicate iridescence and faint vertical markings. Compared to many other cichlids, Laetacara thayeri remains relatively small and well-mannered, making it an excellent choice for planted community aquariums.

This species is often shy at first but becomes confident and interactive once settled. Its relaxed temperament and manageable size make it ideal for aquarists who want the personality of a cichlid without excessive aggression.
