Festivum Cichlid
Mesonauta festivus
Description
The Festivum Cichlid (Mesonauta festivus) is a graceful South American species prized for its calm temperament and elegant shape. Often called the Flag Cichlid, this fish displays a soft silver to olive body accented by a bold diagonal black stripe running from the dorsal fin through the eye. Its tall, laterally compressed body and gentle personality make it a fantastic alternative to Angelfish in peaceful community aquariums.
Festivum cichlids are known for their shy but curious nature. When kept in well-planted aquariums with driftwood and vertical décor, they show beautiful natural behavior and subtle color changes.
